When creating a system, it is a good idea, if you don't want any First Starters to be included in the results, to use this parameter to exclude any horses having their first race start by using the rule: Career>Starts>Exclude>Min 0 Max 0
If you had rules in your system that related to past runs, you may logically think that horses that didn't pass those rules would be excluded from the results - meaning no First Starters, as they do not have any past runs.
However, the System Developer eliminates horses that do not pass rules, rather than 'allowing' horses that do pass rules. If a horse has no past runs (First Starters), the System Developer cannot eliminate the horse by way of any of your past run rules, so the horse will remain, unless eliminated by another rule. |
