Horse Statistics

To the right of the Rating Graphs in the Form View is the Horse Statistics panel which displays the career statistics of the currently viewed runner, and the rider statistics for the runs displayed in the Form View.

The colour-highlighted symbols in the left column consist of seven performance-related and seven track condition-related, or ‘Going’ categories.

Each category is defined by four numbers which denote, from left to right in each line, the number of:

  • Starts
  • Wins
  • Second places
  • Third places

This example from the top line of the Horse Statistics panel above, signifies that this horse has had 46 Career Starts, has won 12 races, placed second 6 times and placed third 5 times and therefore has run unplaced 23 times.

The second column of statistics lists the following:
  • Age Colour and Sex
  • Win percentage
  • Place percentage
  • Average Prizemoney Index in $1000’s.
  • Total prize money
  • Number of wins at distances.

The third column shows the various prior riders of this horse, their numbers of rides and their tally of wins, seconds and thirds within the horse's last 8 or 16 runs - depending on your data subscription.

If today's jockey is in this list of prior riders, the name will be tagged - see MJCahill in the list at left.
